Last week was Engineers Week and I was on the committee to produce posters and help run the ‘games’ for the guys. We provide each team with the little remote control cars from Radio Shack and let them modify them for a Monster Death Race, Sumo Balls competition, and Race of the Nerds. This is one of the cars before the mods. It was fun and everyone had a good time. The Sumo Balls competition was fun, we had created a field, about 10ft by 12ft with a goal at each end. We put 3 plastic golf balls in the center, white, red and blue for the cars to push into the goals. The white was worth one point and the red 2 points with the blue worth 3 points. The best car had masking tape at the front of the car with the sticky side out to grab the balls. It worked great even though
the cars were only about 7 inches long! -

KC’s Earth-Bound Insight has a Meme about desktops, so here is my messy one:
I have 2 15″LCD monitors with my Mac G5 with ton’s of storage internal and external. I have piles of stuff where I know where everything is! I’d like bigger monitors and some day I will get one or more. I do video editing using Apple Final Cut Pro… So, there it is!

was great! We had good food, and good seats (but it did cost a fortune!). This phots was taken of Morris Day and the Time, but the lights cover him in this photo, but I like the shot!! The SOS band was the closer and we left half way through their set. It was getting late, for me, I get up at 5:30AM and it was 11:30PM with a 30 minute drive ahead of us.

Yesterday coming home from work around 5:15PM, it started sprinkeling and it looked like it was pouring in one particular area. I waited until my windshield wiper cleaned the glass and snapped this shot. Very odd. And at home later we had thunder and lightning and hail too!!
